Abstraction (“we”, “us”) builds software and AI systems. This policy explains what information we collect through abstraction.agency and in the course of our work, how we use it, and the choices you have.
01Who we are
Abstraction is a software and AI studio led by Otito Ogene, based in Enugu, Nigeria and working with clients worldwide. For any privacy question, contact us at otito@abstraction.agency.
02Information we collect
- Information you give us — your name, email address, and anything you include when you contact us or start a project.
- Information we collect automatically — basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring links, gathered through server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
- Project information — when we work together, you may share data, credentials, or systems needed to deliver the work. We handle this only for that purpose and under the terms of our engagement.
03How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible project.
- To deliver, support, and improve the services we agree on.
- To operate and improve this website.
- To meet legal, accounting, and security obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
04Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the studio, and legal obligations.
05Sharing and service providers
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate — for example hosting, email, and analytics platforms — and only as needed to run the studio. These providers process data under their own agreements. We may also disclose information where required by law.
06Cookies and analytics
This site uses minimal cookies and analytics to understand traffic and improve the experience. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
07Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — to respond to you, deliver a project, and meet legal requirements — then delete or anonymise it.
08Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09International transfers
We work across borders, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure it remains protected.
10Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email otito@abstraction.agency and we will respond within a reasonable time.
11Third-party links
Our site and work may link to third-party sites and tools. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please review their policies.
12Children
This site and our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
